Could sponsor All Sport soon be available?

Nascar has disputed Mayfield's claim that over the counter medication mixed with prescribed medications cause a failure in his drug screening. "What we have is a clear violation of policy," said David Black, whose Tennessee-based Aegis Labs conducts NASCAR's random testing program. "In my many years of experience, I have never seen a violation like this due to the combination of over-the-counter or prescription products." Black, citing NASCAR policy, declined to specify what caused Mayfield to test positive, saying it was "a drug of concern."

Mayfield will be forced to list the team under new ownership and new driver to race at Charlotte this weekend.

Just pointing out that Mayfield's troubles are not going away. It's the same excuse every athlete gives after failing a drug test, "prescription medicine." According to the lab, it has nothing to do with a over the counter or prescribed medicne interaction. It' a drug of concern falling under the category of steroids, amphetamines and recreational drugs.

All Sport is doubtful to continue sponsoring a team without a name driver. Mayfield was no current star, but a previous Cup winner & Chase contender. All Sport is not a mega sponsor but would be a good fit for a partial sponsorship or associate sponsorship deal. All Sport would be better off to rebrand and establish itself with a new driver for image.
A little due diligence can be useful.....Ah, never mind.
I am not going to go out on a limb when I say that "All Sport" will never be with RGM/RG. Lettering on the car and deal with mayfield is more personal than business..aka upfront money to get season going,so lettering went on the car.
All Sport is owned by Gary Smith who was with Red Bull when they sponsored RGM. My guess is Robby has called him already. My other guess is that if they did not go with RGM the first time around they won't be this time. Gary really wants to own a team and I would bet he had a stake in the Mayfield operation.
Did Gary and Jeremy shop the idea of a 2nd team to RGM last year?

I know they tried with a number of teams, I think Ganassi was a front runner for the "package." (Could be why they carried over the #41)

I could go on for a while about the "quality" person Jeremy is, but I wont. If Robby passed on running a second car for Jeremy, even if it was fully sponsored, it was the right decision.
Nemecheck needs to run a "Just Say No to Drugs" on his car, imagine the exposure as a follow up to last week's deal with Mayfield. Positive message & great exposure.

I thought Aaron Fike was supposed to start up a big "Race Against Drugs" campaign last year? And Website? Still havent heard any mention of it.
I'm not sure whether you're being facetious...is that something you actually heard? If so that's great, and if not then it's a hilarious parody nonetheless :)
no, thats what he announced in a press release before the 2008 season, just saying that it never got legs , and it's a shame that it didn't.
There is some back story on the Mayfield drug test failure that it was due to Claritan-D whose other ingredient is Sudafed. Sudafed is banned because it can give a false positive as it is one of the base indgredients for 'Meth'.
THis could very well BLOW UP in NASCAR's face assuming its Sudafed. Remember how they screwed Tim Richmond.
Its a black eye, but come on; its not like Mayfield was making the races anyhow... LOL
