Tony Jr out as crew chief of the # 88

Looks like Tony Jr is out. So Junior Nation has blamed Teresa and now Tony Eury Jr for Dale Jr's problems. Wonder who they will blame after he still sucks when he gets a new crew chief.

As a long time jr fan, i gotta 'kinda" disagree with ya on some of that. I blog a ton on one of the racing sights, and several of us were talking the other day about his steady decline. We pulled up several vids of his early years, and he seemed so much more aggressive back then. I really think a lot of it is pure pressure. We all know wins are hard to come by, and he has 17-18, so he cant suck that bad. I personally feel he has too much on his plate.

Oh, by the way, because I am a member of jr nation... do i think he is the best out there? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I just pull for him because I like the guy. I pulled for his father since '85. I root for Robby just the same, because to me Robby is a racer through and through. In my eyes, you MUST be able to win on a road course!!

Crew chief changes are quite common when things arent going so well. Its very difficult to be successful in NASCAR even when your well funded. To suggest somehow that Junior has no talent makes little sense to me and personally I would bet that he will do quite well at some point in time in NASCAR just as he has in the past. All of us have good years and bad years I assume drivers being human may have similar characterstics. But then I have long since stopped seeing everything in black and white and cant name many (if any) absolute truths.
