Does anyone know what happened to make Robby go 2 laps down? He was running on the lead lap racing with Paul Menard green flag pits started and then he goes two laps down but still racing with the same people.........

The radio guys could make a test session sound exciting!
What happened? It was another day at the track for RGM. For never getting in the car and having Kvapil set it up, which he never has for RG before, I'll take a 31st place finish. Especially coming from the back and not knowing what to expect in the car. Pocono has never been a strong point for RGM.

On a positive note, the Triad motor had some serious power. Pulling the TRD motors and hanging with Rousch/Yates power, that's a big plus in my book. Its better than the normal "I'm just getting killed on the straights, we have no motor!'.

RG ran the Baja 500, got out, flew half the night, got to the track hours before the race started, and managed another 500 miles on the most boring racetrack on the circuit. Look on the bright side folks!
RG complained he was getting killed in turn 3, but he referenced that to bad handling and not the motors.
I thought he sounded tired on the scanner.I told him once that I worry about him more than his mother...he said "no you don't"., lol
From what TOG is saying, it looks like RGM still does not have a handle on this track. Maybe the boys at TRD can point Kirk in the right direction as we need some better finishes in the season's second half because you know that there will be some engine problems and some wrecks in the next half that will put us further back in the standings if we keep running in the 30's.
Just seemed like RG's trouble yesterday was mainly turn 3.
Robby did say on the scanner that something broke, I do not think the tire was the actual problem. Didn't they say the tires were good after the second stop? The car was pretty good all day but having to get the lap back by not pitting under yellow and then pitting after the green puts you right in front of the leaders. If they had not had the mysterious part failure, I would think it would have been a top 18-22 car.

matt
yeah, i heard that too,

Kirk said the tires were fine
Regardless, Pocono sucks.
