Kyle smashing the guitar.....are people looking too deep into it?

I just got finished reading a article on nasar.com about this and they mention that it had a effect on the county music fans or music influence had something to do with it. I think that it was just a celebration, thats all...by the way, he did win it, and its his to keep. For fans that got mad, I think its none of our business what he does with his trophies....plus it got attention to Nascar, thats good.

Absolutely going way too far. The "he isn't a rockstar" thing is laughable. I suppose he is the first non rockstar to do this? Rockstars, Kyle Busch along with every other driver are ENTERTAINERS. Kyle did this to entertain, and like it or not he succeeded. Don't believe me, then why are you here discussing it and why is it a story on most every racing/sports website? Its a matter of who did it, the people who like Busch like it and the people who don't like Busch don't with very few exceptions. This would have been the case with any driver. If RG had been the one to do it how would you have felt? Not too mention he is 24 years old. How many people here did nothing that others thought was dumb, immature, disrespectful, or whatever at that age? And none of you had the success or lifestyle he has, cut him some slack

If RG had done it I would be hugely unhappy with him too. Age does NOT excuse bad behavior. Like it or not, Kyle is a role model. If he doesn't like that status, get out of the public eye.

Mr. Bass and his associates have been compensated well for their work. Not to mention the additional work and the free publicity they received. They're crying all the way to the bank.

Mr Bass is an artist. I am also an artist(floral design) and if a bride smashed all the flowers I'd be pisses a hell that she had so little regard for my talent and hard work.

Maybe, but if you were compensated in like proportion as Bass, the tears wouldn't last too long.

Not so. First, an artist views their work as their baby. Your soul goes into its creation. It's not a guitar he destroyed but a piece of Bass himself. Sam Bass isn't concerned with the money. He's quite successful so I wouldn't think it's an issue for him. I'm a writer, not an artist but still a creative entity. And I would be downright pissed.

How many peices of your soul can you give away? Bass has created thousands of works by now, from what I understand. THe artists I know say their joy comes from the enjoyment the recepients receive... even if they enjoying smashing the piece.

I think it would have been better if KB pulled out a jug of lighter fluid and lit the thing on fire to the tune of Voodoo Child that would have been all the way tight!!!

Never cared for the "ASS" before, and this only further confirms that!!!! He is a disgrace, regardless of whether or not he can win races!!!! He is a child!!!!! And even that is not a valid excuse!!!!!

Not a fan of his. Can't deny his talent but he has no respect for the sport, its history, the other competitors or the equipment. And he whines. I hate whiners... It's aggressive driving when he wrecks anyone in his path but cries like a baby if someone turns him around.
