Charlotte, NC (June 18, 2009) – Coming off a top-twenty finish at Michigan International Speedway, the No. 7 Jim Beam / Menards team is hoping to carry their momentum from previous weeks into this weekend’s 110-lap race and translate it into the team’s first Cup win. Gordon is known as not only one of the top road-course racers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but also as one of the toughest road-course competitors in the world.

Robby’s Thoughts – “I love coming to race at Infineon every year,” Gordon commented. “It’s a great course that gives the No. 7 Jim Beam / Menards team a chance to show how competitive our race team really is. I’ve always loved running on road courses for the variety that it provides the drivers and fans. Our team puts in a lot of effort to make sure that we’re competitive on these tracks – from testing to optimizing our race setup and strategy. I feel like we have a good chance this weekend. There is nothing that I would like to do more than drive the Jim Beam / Menards Camry in to Victory Lane at a race in my home state where Toyota is the title sponsor.”

Past Infineon Performances – Since moving into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in the late 1990s, Gordon has had proven success at Infineon Raceway. He won the 110-lap event in 2003 while driving for Richard Childress Racing. Then in 2007, the road course ace proved that he was capable of great things in his own equipment. That year, Gordon led the most laps before running into problems with fuel mileage which eventually forced the team out of the top-ten and resulted in a 16th-place finish. During his 11 races at Infineon Raceway, Gordon has completed 92.5% of all possible laps and has lad over 150 laps.

Appearance Schedule – Robby Gordon will be making several appearances to meet his fans throughout the weekend. Prior to running the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, Gordon will stop by his souvenir hauler at 9:30 a.m. Gordon will also make a stop at the Sprint Experience on Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m.

TV and Radio Times – Qualifying for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 is set for Friday evening, June 19th at 6:30 p.m. EST, and will be broadcast on SPEED Channel. TNT will broadcast live television coverage of the 110-lap race beginning at 4:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, June 21. Radio coverage of Sunday’s event can be heard on PRN and Sirius Satellite Radio beginning at 4:00 p.m. EST.
