I hope that is bull! It is a business but don't you think he would park in NC instead of trucking across the US? I can see saving the backup making changes found on the primary.
The #7 looks really good, very consistent in Happy Hour. Which is awesome. Can't be too aggressive coming through the field, damage won't help anybody.
There are a few good cars that are starting up front and some really good cars/drivers right there around RG. Should be fun to watch.
Ron Fellow, in what amounts to an HMS car, with his experience and talent? You know he wanked it in qualifying just to get in the field rather than pull a Scott Speed. If that car holds up tomorrow, watch out for Ron. The guy is a crazy smart world class road racer....
Start and park, I don't think so. Covering the fuel mileage guys in the back maybe. I think RG only showing part of his hand and sandbagging a bit because of last year. I'm thinking this may be a all out speed race because of the new starting method with many yellows and no fuel worries. I am actually getting a bit excited because things are lining up for the good side for once. For me this is what it's all about, I'm going to have to stay up late because I will not sleep well tonight thinking of this race. I'm getting the feeling RG is on and you won't stop him. The only question I have is why did Ambrose's engine blow?
It is hard to believe this is true, seeing as how Robby brought 4 cars to Infineon. If PJ was driving Robby's backup, I would definitely give this rumor more credibility. Time will tell. If anything, I would imagine a fellow Triad team (like the #36 or the #87 crew since the RBR guys are pitting that car) would offer to help pit the car. Another option would be to have the 04 pit one lap after Robby every time and use the same crew. The extra practice couldn't hurt...
If it is true though, it is what it is. The focus is on getting the #7 in victory lane, everything else is (and should be) secondary.
to race on the west coast nascar entry fee $3300, engine rental $50000, 6 sets of tires $9600, pit crew rental $5000, transportation from east to west $5000 accomodation/airfares $8000 this does not include preparing the car before it leaves the shop.
