PJ is in Robby's Backup. They only brought 2 cars

According to everything I have heard, including from TOG and others at the track, Robbys backup is a duplicate new car to the one he is racing, and PJ is in an older car with the new suspension geometry...

That would mean at least 3 cars...

matt- looks like it only was 2 cars out west. There were mixed reports due to two #7's at Laguna test. Looks like the other #7 was re-numbered to #04. I didn't bother asking for clarification.Not a big deal.

here is the fact..........only 2 cars went out too sonoma..Robby is in the complete new car..never turned a lap before thursday at Laguna..........P.J.'s car is last years back up car with about 1000 up dates.....it is basically a brand new car.........both cars are as identical on build and set up.......put them next to each other and the guys that built them cant tell the difference between the 2..............2 and only 2 cars went out to sonoma.....there is no third car...........last years primary road course car is on blocks back at the shop..it is all cut up and has no updates............

Good info. Yea the only definate I knew was the fact PJ was in an updated car.

So did RGM build two new road course cars and one is sitting at the shop? Or did they build one new one, and update an older one? Just curious, this really has no affect on tomorrow.

A NEW CAR WAS BUILT...AS A PRIMARY.....THE OLD CAR WAS NOT UPDATED........THE OLD BACK UP WAS TOTALLY RE DONE ,TO THE FACT THAT IT IS A REBUILD...IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR IN ESSENCE.

Eh, I'm not overly worried about what PJ does. I would be a bit disappointed if it were a start and park, but oh well. It is what it is. We'll see tomorrow during the race. I'm not losing sleep either way.
