nevermind..its cancelled. we'll be starting P34....crap blah
Hope rain doesn't wreck qualifying at Watkins Glen (like it always seems too).
yeah I think 4 of the last 6 there have been rained out (qualifying sessions)

yup rain in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 no rain in 2003 and 2005
Rain always screws up one day at the track at the Glen.
damn rule book....Nascar should inform the teams to prep their cars for one lap according to a special rain qualifying order draw and qualify these things in the rain....lol.

with any ties in speed broken by fastest prior 1st practice lap, not onwers points standings...lol
WOW the 64 car withdrew and allowed the 78 to get in! thats awesome....the 64 was a S & P...the 78 will race and do well.

I am assuming Furniture Row has promised to pay 43rd place money out of their purse to the 64...lol. Under the table of course...
That's pretty high-class of the 64.
yeah very cool..but like I said..I have to think the 78 will be cutting them a 43rd place check for this...

makes sense...saves a few extra $$ on the set of tires you would have used and you do not even have to pay a phantom pit crew or anything...lol
upon reviewing the starting grid, it appears both the 64 and the 78 were in?

http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2009/17/data/lineup.html
nah the 78, 51 and 27 were going home per the rules in a rain out.
78 had 8 attempts..the 64 has 11 and the 37 has 9 (last car in)
It's interesting to see the lineup on NASCAR.com show the 78 and 64 being in the race with the 37, 51, and 27 going home. It appears the people at NASCAR.com went down the Owners Points list on their site instead of looking at attempts.
