CHARLOTTE, NC (July 8, 2009) – Robby Gordon will be making his ninth Sprint Cup series career start at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. In eight starts at the 1.5 mile D-shaped oval track, Gordon has completed 2,037 of 2,139, which equates to 95.2% of all laps attempted.
Headquarter Visit – Thursday morning, the Beam Global Spirits & Wine headquarters in Deerfield will become a center of racing activity as Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 7 Jim Beam Toyota Camry, visits the company headquarters and provides an opportunity for employees to ask him questions about being a NASCAR driver and the upcoming Lifelock.com.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.

In addition, a street-legal, two-seat replica of the No. 7 Jim Beam drink smart® stock car will be onsite. Employees will receive rides in the street-legal car, and possibly a few with Gordon behind the wheel. The street-legal stock car travels to race markets to promote the Beam Global drink smart® responsibility platform, educating consumers on how to make responsible decisions about alcohol and reminding them of these basic principles 1) if you’re under 21, don’t drink; 2) if you’re of legal purchase age and choose to drink, do so in moderation; 3) never drive drunk and 4) if you can’t drink responsibly, don’t drink at all.

The No. 7 “Rocks On!” - The No. 7 Jim Beam team will once again feature the special Red Stag by Jim Beam/ Kid Rock paint scheme for the upcoming Lifelock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Red Stag by Jim Beam is a headline sponsor of multi-platinum superstar, Kid Rock and his Summer Rock N’ Rebels Tour, which will hit Chicago (Tinley Park), Sunday, July 12.

Red Stag by Jim Beam, an all-new cherry-infused offspring of the world’s No. 1 selling bourbon, is the latest innovation from Beam Global Spirits & Wine Inc. [Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE: FO)].

Robby’s Race Forecast – “We ran the Red Stag by Jim Beam/ Kid Rock last at Michigan Speedway, and we had a solid finish. I think that we will be able to translate the information that we learned there and at the other intermediates tracks like Charlotte and Texas into this weekend’s race for another great finish.”

TV and Radio Times – Qualifying is set for Thursday, July 9th at 8:40 p.m. (ET) on SPEED TV, MRN, and Sirius. For the second time, the 267 laps of racing action will begin on Saturday, July 11th at 8:00 p.m. (ET) under the lights of Chicagoland Speedway. It will be broadcast on TNT, MRN, and Sirius.

Appearance Schedule – On Friday night, Gordon will make a Jim Beam appearance at Hero’s West located at 1530 Commerce Lane, Joliet, IL 60431. He will be onsite at 8 p.m. On Saturday, he will sign autographs for his fans at his souvenir trailer at 3:15 p.m.
