I was just on Jayski's browsing around and saw how the new Nationwide series is going to debute thier new version of the COT. I must say I think this car looks alot better than the car in the CUP series.. at least it has more characteristics of an actual production car.. alot more than a CUP car does.

I think the "no road course" thing just means the NWS COT won't run the road courses in it's first partial phase in season, like the cup COT did.
Ya know that whole roots of nascar thing is straight BULLSHIT! Nascar evolved from guys runnin shine on.....say it with me now, ROADS. Just cuz the first course was a circle, doesn't mean jack. The real competition was the shine runners v. johnny law...on backroads. If they really wanna get back to roots, start building clay roadcourses
and build it next to wimbledon..lol
You know, I think nascar was better without the common templates. Different makes had different advantages. The Chevy Lumina of the old days was a monster on the short ovals and short track because of it's high downforce. The old Ford Thunderbird was hard to handle on the big tracks, such as Michigan and Daytona. Even at individual places on the tracks, the cars had different advantage which allowed for a lot of back and forth side by side racing that we don't get anymore.
It was real racing back then. Not this managed competition stuff. Each car had its own personality and the teams and drivers had to find the right balance for their make.
It was but this is what happens when boys will be boys and forget about the gentlemen's agreement that used to be the only rule book they needed. The constant bickering by whichever manufacturer lost that week was ridiculous. NASCAR was changing rules every week to make someone happy. In the end, seems as if nobody is happy anymore.
Hmmm... that picture just looks like a photoshop of one of the Cup cars at Infinion this year... I saw it earlier today in a portuguese motorsports website.

These from the new dodge are cool

Thats the way to do it...
not quite as aerodynamic as I would like, but we'll see how it all plays out.
I like the detail in the front clip being in the mold and not some cheesy 3D sticker. With this blunt face and splitter it should be good with down force.
At least it looks like a real car.
now that is just plain bad ass looking! why dont cup cars look like that?
