Sorry, but that was never Plan A
Stewart is not a valid example since SHR is another HMS team. But, by the way, I read on Jayski that DuPont can't afford to sponsor Jiffy-Poo full-time and is cutting back next year. I find that hilarious.
Hope for high levels of attrition, and that it doesn't involve the #7.

Otherwise it looks like a long crappy day at Pocono. Sucks that they no longer shift there....anyone saying "Roval" should have their genitals mutilated.
you know..OLLLLEE D W is the only one that says thjat crap. Thank God Fox is done after Dover
Looks like racing will be Monday from what I've heard elsewhere.
Could be. Weather isn't pretty there right now.

Anti- I always hated that ROVAL statement, as well as comparing the turns at Martinsville to the last turn at Infineon.
Rick Mears coined the term "roval" back in the '80's when the Indy cars used the top 3 gears each lap. Emerson Fittipaldi set a qualifying track record of 211.715 mph in 1989 and was clocked at over 240mph on the front stretch despite the bumps. There's a photo of Mears literally 'flying' on the front stretch with all four tires an inch off the track surface. It takes a very large pair of unmutilated cajones to run a 200+ lap (average) at Pocono.

The Cup qualifying track record is 172.553 set by Kasey Kahne in 2004.
There are times it can make sense for, but not at this track now with no shifting in these cars.
True that. It made for a more interesting race when the Cup cars had to shift. Blame the gear rule I guess.
Funny how Pocono and Martinsville are compared to road courses all the time, yet are Robby's worst tracks.
Yuck. About an hour ago:
