Montreal 2007 Revisionist history starting to piss me off...

Many articles are recapping the wild and wooly 2007 race and it friggin amazes me what they write about the series of events that unfurl....here is a pretty good example of what is being written.....from Tim Tuttle:

"Ambrose and Robby Gordon were in a ferocious battle for the lead in the closing laps. Gordon nudged ahead to move in front of Ambrose and Ambrose tapped Gordon to regain the lead. The caution, for a multicar incident, came out at the same time Ambrose was re-passing Gordon."

WTF??? I commented and recounted EXACTLY what transpired...which is this..

Robby passed Ambrose under green...then behind them Harvick divebombed Pruett and caused a multicar melee which brought out the caution....

As that happened, Robby came around a turn...with the CAUTION LIGHTS CLEARLY LIT and the FLAGMAN WAVING HIS YELLOW FLAG....Ambrose got into him and spun him out....

I will even give Ambrose the benefit of the doubt that he "didn't see" that the caution was lit and flag waving (which is B.S. but for arguments sake I will)..but for Nascar to try to relegate a car to 12th when it was running 1st when the field was FROZEN due to a yellow it was not involved in , then gets spun out under said yelow is beyond F@#$ing ridiculous.

Amrose reaped what he and Nascar sowed. Whether he knew it or not, he spun a car under caution, and Nascar exaserbated the issue by moronically ruling that this is OK and that the car spund out under yellow (when the yellow was caused by an incident PRIOR to it) gets shuffled back instead of restarting 1st (or at worst 2nd).

Like it or not...Robby won that race and was ROBBED by Nascar...

They actually were consistant with this incident when compared to robby and ambrose's incident. I remember specifically because i was going to be super pissed if they hadn't been consistent. they made trevor start way in the back.
This will probably bug us all until Robby goes back and wins cleanly. Every year he skips Montreal is another year his fan base suffers.
hell no.
Perhaps cleanly is not the right word. We'll all feel better once Robby wins and they let him into victory lane.
He said at Bristol they were trying to make it happen. Too bad it didnt work out.
Finally someone other than I--- GETS IT! You have it exactly right and even 2 years later I am still fuming about it! As I have said before the rule book is that big so that in any circumstance, they can F*** RG out of positions or in this case a sure win! even if you are leading and someone takes you out under caution. What the F*** Its totally unheard of. Im done.
Ha! Ha! Karma's a bitch Marco's!
That was funny but it sucks that Carl won. I would have much rather that Ranger guy won, Carl is boring.
With Robby's temper, he wouldn't have made it through the rain.
What another fiasco. Like Eury Sr. said... they can barely race there in the dry.
That track is not cut out for NASCAR.
That was a fun race to watch today, not gonna lie. I was jumping up and down when Carl passed him on the last turn of the last lap!!!
the time it took to complete a lap under yellow was painful, but at least they got to finish under green and not with yet another Steven Wallace caution.
yeah....I wonder if Rusty was feeling his wallet kick him where it hurts. Good job to Andrew Ranger too, finishing 3rd.
