How to instantly BANK some incredible publicity for RGM...

This weekend presents an awesome opportunity for RGM to BANK some great publicity. RGM will be showcasing Polaris at Crandon & Atlanta, but why not get on the phone with Polaris and add Bobby Labonte ina 2nd car this weekend! (or Menards or JimBeam)

Take the high road, "We wanted to help Bobby keep his consecutive start streak alive." He would automatically make the show with his Champions Provisional. Double the exposure for Polaris & RGM at Atlanta....by the way it's historically one of Bobby's best tracks!

RGM would have 2 days left to file the entry. Get a car ready and put him in the show! Imagine if he won....sponsors would be knocking. He's already gonna be hungry to prove he can still drive.

Don't be suprised if someone doesn't put him in their seat...

Of all races to be yanked from the car, wouldn't imagine they would do it to Bobby at Atlanta. Flashback to spring '00 with him and Dale battling for the checkers in one of the closest finishes in nascrap history. Almost forgot about Bobby's prowess there until you mentioned it. What a coup for whoever puts him behind the wheel!

They pulled him due to sponsor issues only. DUMB decision as for Atlanta and Bobby.

Heck even if RGM wanted to put Bobby in the back up car (Wink! PJ Jones type deal), he would make the show with his Champiosn provisional. Use practice tiem to get the car dialed in.

It can happen if you wanted it to.

Short notice for RG to pull it together, especially this week with his upcoming schedule. But that's often when he works his best magic so we can only hope!

I'll guess that Terry gives up the seat for his brother. Bobby goes on to record his best finish of the year, proving that the problem is Yates and not him.

You would think Yates Racing did a good job of proving that themselves since switching to the COT. A lot of good drivers got caught in the crosswinds. Kvapil as well as Bobby.

may be a ford twist to it also...........Myself i'm getting pissed about veterans geeting the curb kick for young up and comings. although after watching Dale Jarret try his "heart out" in that big 5 million dollar blunder i'm sure sponsors want some green horn grit, which leads me straight to my thoughts on Kyle Bush grit VS. passive and veterans may have been labled as passive. just my two cents. Sorry for rambling.

I blame Hendrick for the young uprising. He would put 'em in a car before they even cut their teeth, before they knew they weren't immortal and just plain reckless. And forget about paying dues in trucks, busch, and arca. Straight to cup. And then expect them to perform from the get go. Look how long it took Vickers to even look like a decent driver. Those skills take time to develop.

Vickers ran at least one full season in the bucsh series, where he won the title, before moving to cup. Unlike Johnson & Gordon, he had seasoning and it didn't help.

He may have been young, but seems plenty seasoned to enter cup when he did.

That's why I think Keselowski is going to do well in cup. I know he hasn't been in Nationwide that many years, but more than most. And he's winning there in a time that is different than when Vickers and others were there. The field is saturated with cup drivers.
