RGM Owners Points Tracker (After Richmond 2)

Gilliland scored a 24th place finish for RGM, how did it effect the points:
RGM mathematically could move up to 31st in a single race.
RGM has a huge lead over the 36th & 37th position.
Top 35 will be easier with 2, possibly 3 teams inside the Top 35 being eliminated for 2010

31 #96 2,263 ahead of RGM by 157 points, 41 positions)
32 #55 2,212 (ahead of RGM by 106 points, 36 positions)
33 #98 2,207 (ahead of RGM by 101 points, 34 positions)

35 #34 1,924 (RGM is ahead by 283 points)

he is actually 183 ahead of 35th and 298 ahead of 36th. Should still be safe.

The key is the fight for 7th place among the toyotas for that last spot in the Bud Shootout. The 55 is currently 7th so Robby needs to catch them to get in.

Since Robby is the only one running TRIAD, TRD teams will get priority. Watch and see.

The Shootout is suppose to be the top 6 + a "wildcard" from each manufacturer. Not sure how they will do that with Dodge's RPM switching to Ford and Dodge only fielding 3 teams in 2010. Unless the winners keep their spots even with the manufacturer switches. They'll probably make a big change for 2010, If not the lineup would look like this:

CHEVY: #5, #14, #48, #24, #39, #42 (wildcard "#88")
FORD: #99, #16, #17, #26, #6, #96 (wildcard "98")
TOYOTA: #11, #83, #18, #00, #47, #20 (wildcard #55)
DODGE: #9, #2, #44, #77, #19, #43 (wildcard #12)
#44 Team will no longer exist, #26 & #96 could no longer exist
#9, #44 & #19 will be Fords

They will definitely have to come up with a new plan

They really should just turn it into an open and let whoever shows up race- even if it's 60 cars.

Seasons not over yet. Wasn't it the fall NHMS race where Gene Nead quit in the middle of the race?
