"Brown-Forman will conclude its Jack Daniel's NASCAR program and will not extend its sponsorship with Richard Childress Racing's #07 team. A change in Brown-Forman's spending priorities led to the decision to conclude the sponsorship that began in 2005".
So, who's left: Budweiser, M.Lite, and Crown Royal? As much partying as there is at the races, you'd think you'd see more alcohol companies advertising there.
I wonder if the Jayski rumor of Jim Beam leaving was started from this fact? Did someone confuse Jack Daniels and the #07 with Jim Beam and the #7 when they were feeding the rumor to Jayski?
I can see some validity to that point Alan. Hard for me to believe that Jim Beam would not have any involvement next year in some facility with RGM after five years.

Beam didn't officially announce last year until I believe November/December/January? I forget.
But still, there are two philosophies to address rumors, Ignore them or address them head on. Some feel you shouldn't give rumors validity by addressing them if they are not true.
In light of what's happening in NASCAR right now, I think it's wrong for the parties involved to not make at the very least a brief statement. Even if your statement is not entirely true... Ala Rick Hendrick "There's no room at the inn". And there wasn't that day, but...

IIRC the Jack sponsorship was inked through this year. Jack loved Clint and Richard had to beg them to swap Casey. General Mills wanted Clint from the get-go and their policy was to not be associated with any alcohol. Rumors I heard then indicated RC may have gave them a bargain to stay through this year.

My hubby was a Bowyer/Jack Daniels fan. He is still upset about the RCR sponsor switch. Now I feed him Cheerios on race day mornings while I pour Red Stag into my coffee. Life is good...
