ROBBY GORDON, No. 7 Camping World Toyota Camry, Robby Gordon Motorsports Finishing Position: 34th

Can you talk about the incident from your perspective?

"All I remember seeing was the 20 car (Joey Logano) down on the bottom, and he just shot across the track. Looks like he must’ve got pushed to the bottom or something happened going into (turn) three. I went to the high side trying to slow down and unfortunately we got caught up in it. For the Camping World car, it wasn’t nothing but a radiator, but it’s normal practice to go to the care center and check it out. I’m glad that Joey’s good. I remember being stopped and looking at thing flipping and flipping and flipping and flipping. I was excited to see him climb out."

What did you try to do to avoid the incident?

"I wasn’t really involved in the big scheme of the wreck. When it was all said and done, I saw it coming. I got on the brakes because I saw Joey (Logano) down on the apron going into (turn) three. I said, ‘Oh man, they’re going to slide up in front of us,’ so I tried slowing down and unfortunately I couldn’t get it all the way slowed down. My car is not that bad. I looked underneath it. It’s a radiator. I was happy to see Joey (Logano) climb from his car. I was sitting up there at the top over by the ‘Dover 3’ sign and watching that thing flip and flip and flip and flip down the hill. When it would land on its side, I said, ‘Man, I hope that thing doesn’t catch on fire.’ Then all of a sudden, it just popped back on its wheels, so good for him."

FROM USA TODAY:

DOVER, Del. — Joey Logano skidded down the track, shot straight back up and into the wall, then had his No. 20 T-boned by Reed Sorenson.
Then came the flips. Eight times in all, dangerously barrel-rolling across Dover International Speedway's concrete track before landing on its side for a brief moment and tipping over to rest on its wheels. Logano's father ran to the infield care center to check on his son, but the accident looked worse than the final result.

Logano, only 19, was shaken, but otherwise fine.

"It just really scared the heck out of me," Logano said Sunday. "I haven't seen a replay yet. I'm not sure I want see a replay. I started rolling and I was like, 'Damn, please make this thing stop.' And it wouldn't. It just kept going and going."

Logano appeared to get squeezed between Bobby Labonte and his former Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Tony Stewart. Labonte checked up and No. 96 clipped the No. 20 on the nose. Logano checked up and was tapped from behind by Stewart. That sent Logano sliding up-and-down the track like a yo-yo, collecting Sorenson, Martin Truex Jr. and Robby Gordon.

"Wish I saw that coming," Stewart said. "Don't know how to say sorry enough to Joey. I didn't anticipate it coming, and I drilled right through him."

Race winner Jimmie Johnson had no idea Logano was in the accident. Like any race fan, he couldn't wait to go watch a replay.

"That's exciting," Johnson said. "I can't wait to see the clip."

The race was red-flagged for 23 minutes. All the drivers checked at the infield care center were relieved to hear Logano escaped the wreckage fine.

"It was the wildest ride I've ever been on," Logano said. "You can't go on a roller coaster any worse than that."

His car reduced to scrap metal, Logano's race was done. Labonte finished 23rd, Truex 33rd, and Gordon 34th. Stewart had nothing more than some cosmetic damage on the No. 14 and the Chase driver finished ninth.

"I'm just happy it landed on its wheels," Logano said. "The good lord was with me on that one."
Impressive how they got the thing pieced back together again after the incident. Robby was determined to gain those spots after all the other cars started dropping out.
Amazing job by the crew, laps times didn't fall off much either. Great job and great way to pick up about 30+ points.
And what would they say if he had no compassion for another human? As long as you have the edge it is OK to race for the win at any cost? If you get someone killed it is OK? .It isn't a weakness to worry about someone else.
If you're not first, you're last!
Fail!
Rob was being classy and representing his sponsor who I was surprised to see on his car this weekend, I thought there was a legal dispute with Camping World.

Sad but he got more exposure out of being in the wreck than he would have finishing 25th.

I
That's harsh!
Do you pull the wings off of flies?
................after a comment like that ..........lose this web address..........you ever hear of karma.......Robby was respectful and professional.............give it a break...............go kick a homeless person or something..........

I'm not sure if anyone else caught this over the scannerm, but right before Robby plowed into the 43, I swear that I heard him come over the scanner and say, "You've gotta be kidding me!".

Can anyone else confirm this? Was it someone else over the radio? I was in turn 3 about 32 rows up and had a great view of the Tumbling Logano. I hated seeing Robby wreck so early, it would have been interesting to see how the car improved after the changes made on the competition caution and how Robby fared on long green flag runs. He had good ones in the past at Dover.
