Advice for visiting RGM

Me and a buddy of mine(Jeffy Fan) are going to Charlotte for the Banking 500 in a couple of weeks and are gonna do a bunch of the shop tours. What should I expect going to RGM? Do they do shop tours? What time of day would be a good time to go. Any help would be great! Thanks

Sooooo they just let you walk thru on your own??? Doubt it, somebody will walk you thru. I know Rob's given plenty of "walk thrus" in the past. Look back thru pics here. You'll see shop photos taken by fans during race weeks.

Last time we were at Charlote for Race weekend, we stopped by the shop. We walked into the front lobby and they had some 8x10 photo/sponser poster cards out for people. I guess you can ask one of the receptionist to see if they have tours and see what they say... but we didn't do that..

There is another door in the front of the building that we were able to go into. this door takes you directly into the garage/maintinance area. there they had a couple cars set up for display into a roped off area where you can see what's going on.
I've heard plenty of time where Robby has given tours.. I guess it just depends on if your lucky or not. But either way.. stop by and check it out. it's worth the look and can take all kinds of pictures of things.

We will be camping at Charlotte - where is the RGM shop in relation to the track?

mapquest says it's about 20 minutes east. Both times we have gone by, they were not open. :( Took some pictures by the sign though.

The right idea is to do a mapquest thing.. If you happen to have a GPS unit.. it will take you right there. That's what i used.
The address is located on Robby's website somewhere.. just look under the "Contact" area.

If your at the track take I/85 south to the WT Harris exit. Go west till you reach Statesville Ave/Highway 21. Turn Right then take a right Alexandria. Ahead on right is the entrance to the Twin Lakes Business Park. Robby’s shop is there on the right.

Address for the shop is 10615 Twin Lakes Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28269. Lobby closes down by 5p. Other side of the businees park is the new USF1 shop if you care.
