Think about the fact that Gilliland is, even at TRG and JGR, making tons of money to drive a racecar week in and week out. My guess is that Robby gives him $5,000-10,000 tops and calls it a good weekend for both of them.
I was under the impression that even the SnP drivers get 30-40% of the purse money.
usually drivers get paid to show up, qual, & 1/3 purse...
its better than just having a good car sitting in the trailer
Awesome!
Doug Richert is listed as crew chief for the #04
Fully expecting that David's car with be in qualifying trim for the full practice session, hopefully David could help Robby with his qualifying setup as well.

One other bonus if David qualifies is that Robby could ultimately change his pit during the race of one spot becomes more adventagous than the other.

Not that it would happen since Bobby has the PC provisional, but it would be something if David qualified and bumped Bobby didn't. Come to think of it, Nemechek is probably looking at his checking account. Scott Speed never raced at Kansas before....
I am thinking of Hopechurch when I type this : He is entering a second car because he can.
lost me on the hopechurch?

The S&P chat is ridiculous. Take a guy like Tommy Baldwin, you has literally bank rolled a team by taking out loans, refinancing his house, etc. to get a team started. They are only S&Ping because they can't afford to run the entire race, they are doing what they can. Making a presence at the track in hopes a sponsor will come along and see they have quality cars to qualify on time, and might want to invest. Take TRG for instance; when they actually run a race, they do better than half the field who runs full time.

Kudos for RGM on their second effort, regardless of the S&P situation. Having another quality driver, Gilliland, in RGM equipment gives valuable feedback for the #7. Two cars, two sets of info.
Tommy told me at Dover that he is taking "x" amount of dollars from each race he does make, and is applying that to a fund to be able to run an entire race before the end of the season. The only thing that ruins the plan is missing an upcoming race.
