RG said there are some exciting things happining for the Dakar Rally......anyone know and can share.

The original chassis was an old class 1 car??? No shit? I kinda noticed some similarities but never thought.

The transport trucks are almost done. They are bad ass... The actual T-4 is still the same one. RG says this is probally the last year for that one.

The new support trucks have a Frieghtliner cab, basic chassis (before the RG tweak) an front suspension. But they installed the Oshkosh tandem axle rear suspension and drive. They are double a arm and are well over 16" of travel with on board air and I think 52" tires. Oh and they have some seriously pissed off Cat engines in them.

I was watching the Trucks in Silk Way Rally on Eurosport. Unlike the dakar, this most on hard dirt and completely open country. It was crazy to see these trucks out pace all the cars and nothing is wilder than seeing multi ton truck in a 4 wheel drift.

Where is all of the construction on the Hummers and support trucks being done, in the California shop ?

Pretty sure as of today Cup/Trucks in NC and Hummers/Prerunners/Trophy in Cali...

That truck above is tiny compared. These things he is building have like 1500ftlbs tq.

So the Dakar trucks & Hummers aren't being built and stored in CA.? If I were to take a trip to Anaheim would I see the trucks and the hummers and are they presently working on the dakar equiptment. I live in the area that is why I ask.
