Was this today though? I had Speed turned on a little while ago, and they were replaying practice one from yesterday.
Why would the 37 team withdrawl this morning? They were fast enough to make the race based on practice times and they had to have an idea that the rain was coming and they would have made it..... Thats just plain stupidity right there. My only guess would be the, 78 team which is now in the race paid the 37 team to withdrawl. But i would rather race then get paid to go home.
we have a winner ! The #78 came along way(from Colorado) and the driver *almost* won this race last year, and since the #78 is running all the races next year, this will only help their 2010 Daytona effort. The #37 gave a price and the #78 accepted it. Business is business sometimes, and the #37 was probably going to start and park anyways, so they actually made out better by selling the spot.
I get ya TOG. I guess money is more important to some teams these days. But i guess since it was a Start and Park that, that would be better for them.
From twitter:

im hearin ya, damn good looking car
I am hoping to watch RG race to the front and hopefully stay up there tomorrow, I know his past races look otherwise but remember he has lost the draft a few times and been fortunate enough to get the dog pass. It just makes the race way more fun to watch if your driver is running up front for the whole race. We all know RG is an excellent restricter plate driver and I for one think he could hang in the front of trouble for the race instead of avoiding it in the rear. JMO
is Robby participating in Halloween? if so, what is he?
a crew chief.......actually, he ia an excellent crew chief
I can't think of another driver who would make as good a crew chief as Robby. No really....think about it. Is there a driver out there that could actually hold down a crew chief job? He is that good. The problem is that successfully being a crew chief and driver at the same time is a very tall order.....even for Robby. Throw in team owner and marketing director as well and we are talking about a "walk on water" situation.

Robby might still pull it off!
Learn from yesterday , live for today , hope for tomorow . The important thing is to not stop questioning - Albert Einstein.
.....he has also had more wrecks this year that were not his fault contributing to DNF's.........the cars are better this year than last............no bs ...just a fact
