You're right I should have said 2009 ARCA Champion. Maybe this is why I am not in his PR department! Then again I would not have forgot to mention his 2004 Best in the Desert Off-Road Championship like they did in the Red Horse PR. I would have talked about how much Justin learned at a young age from his teammate. But you know how it goes.
Been very impressed with them this year. I hate to wish them no further growth, but the last thing I want to see is a bigger multicar team that makes a switch to Toyota to use them and shuffle us down the Engine and SUpport totem pole again.
RGM did a great job maneuvering himself to be top dog at a quality engine shop...I just hope he stays at the top of their priority list if more teams in Cup use them.
I dont think this will change anything for RGM as far as pecking order. He is in the Cup side of things. Red Horse has already been a Toyota team and they have already been using Triad engines. I believe what will happen is Triad will be offering some extra support due to the fact that Justin has won Triad their first Championship with the ARCA series.
BTW Billy Ballew Motorsports also uses Triad engines and with Kyle Busch behind the wheel, Red Horse would probably be behind BBM in the truck series pecking order.
Regarding RGM and Triad, I think RGM is the only full time, non start and park Cup team using their engines. MWR & Red Bull still run TRD while Gibbs builds in house. Most of the teams using Triad engines are NW teams as I believe last year TRD decided to only build engines for the Cup teams and out source the NW engine program. Even MWR NW teams are supposedly using Triad engines.
Justin has tons of talent. Just proves that the desert teaches you a thing or two.
Regarding Triad, I'd have to say that RGM is pretty high on the pecking order, and their engines have been phenomenal all season. RGM has never had an engine package so strong since their inception *crosses fingers*.
thanks for the link......as a casual fan, they seem to be building an impressive list clients, it seems that RGM is heading in a good direction with Triad.
