Go robby Go, The 1000 is the hardest, tightest, tech. course in years!

Talked with friends who pre-ran on bikes, and said it is insain, the cross-ruts are just crazy. Lets hope there are no bottle necks.

It's great to start in the front. Tight yes, good for us? yes. RG being 100% focused on the championship? Yes
we are not that close to the front...
Start 7th or 8th 35 trophy trucks entered close enough to the front for me(should be about 4th within the first hour)
It will be interesting to see what Robby's strategy is. Everyone wants to get their passing done early before the sun goes down because the course is so tight. It really depends on how early Robby wants to push his truck. I know BJ said he was going all out before night hits.
Dust is going to be a huge issue, and trying to say on a narrow course. Flats, I think some are going to have lots of flats.
I agree. BJ wont be one that he passes unless tires or tranny get him early.
Navigation will be key too, so having Andy Grider on board will be an advantage for Robby. SCORE has instituted "Virtual Check Points" on the course, and will verify with the IRC tracking data that each competitor hits the VCP. If you miss a VCP, you get penalized. The list of VCP's (with GPS waypoint data) is on the SCORE site to be downloaded, and there's a bunch of them. This is SCORE's new way of ensuring teams don't short-course.

It'll be interesting to see how the official results on Sunday vary from the unoffical results early Saturday. Interesting too will be the grumbling when penalties are handed down, but no one whould be surprised after the last couple of races.
