RG Hauler Fire

Did anyone else hear on Sirius, Moodys show tonight about the Hauler wheels/hub catching fire leaving Homstead?

No equipment wa damaged, but sounded scary. Moody had the driver on for an interesting interview.

sounds like John Force (the drag race guy) in 1975 he had a tire fire that burned up his funny car and hauler but also cost him the Faberge BRUTE sponsership (the car was named the Faberge Brute Force funny car)

never a good time for this, but at least it didnt happen earlier in the season, and missed a race. could have been hell any maybe missed top 35.

Somehere i remember RG saying he has two haulers in case of an accident.
Randy did say the trailer wa going to MN for a makover.

Well. we all know that with Robby, if he didn't have bad luck, he would have no luck at all. I am glad to hear that there was no major damage and Randy R. was not hurt. It could have been a major disaster if it happened on the Interstate.

the best way to extinguish this type of fire is with lots and lots of water
or ya can drive on a dirt shoulder and the heavy dust will choke off most of the oxygen so you can finish it off with a 10 lb extuingisher

Randy said him and the Fire Dept used 8 extuingishers. the aluminum was so hot it kept the tires buring.
