Nascar Roundup had their final show this week giving their thoughts on 2009. During their 2010 news, they mentioned RGM had sponsorship for the first 8 races (Polaris?), Mapei would not return in 2010 and Menards could return as a sponsor in some form. Hopefully RGM can land some sponsors soon. He's one of the most talented drivers in the world and it would be a shame for his team not to racing!

whatever happens, happens. Luckily we will get to see him race in 2010, even if it isn't the full schedule.

In the meantime, sit back and enjoy some Dakar ! This bar is fresh out of nascar, but we have plenty of Dakar to serve. It's an aquired taste, but it goes down smooth after a day or two.
Can't wait for Dakar! I just didn't realize Mapei wasn't returning. Hopefully RGM can win Dakar and use that to get something happening in Nascar.
I'll buy a round of Dakar for the whole place
Can I have the worm at the bottom of the Dakar bottle?
same thing as the Hendrick rumor.
Uhh forgive my insolence, but what was the "Hendrick rumor", exactly? I must have missed that one.
just a joke.
Same here, I would prefer Grand Am. They have great competition.
The sponsors footing the bills have their own agenda for their 2010 racing announcements. They will come. Lets get through Dakar.
huh ? Just saying, there are PLANS in place for the announcements, paint scheme.etc, for RG's 2010 races.Regardless if RG drives in 10 cup races or 36, there is still a plan in place for the 'announcements'
lets recap: You seem lost:

1) dario asked about sponsor for the first 8 races:
I said the sponsors have their own plans for the announcements.

2)you come out of left field with " you dont sound very optimistic " WTF ???

Not Optimistic about what ???

After Dakar, this site will shift right into Nascar mode, and all the questions / speculation, etc, will be answered. Very simple !!!
Have faith in Robby and the hard working staff at RGM. Rob will be behind the wheel of something as much as makes sense next year, be it a cup car, off-road truck, indy car, modified, go kart, big wheel, etc... no one has a more diverse background and have the ability to be competative in anything. Whatever 2010 brings will be worth the wait...
