If this is really happening I'm really happy for BJ because I know who badly he wanted it and how disappointed he was last year. I just don't want to see him mess up his chances for SCORE this next year after the horrible year 2009 was for him. BJ is one of the nicest racers out there and one of the most talented. I know he'll make us proud and how nice to have another AMERICAN on the team!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stoked to see "Capt. Badass" get back in that badass piece of American Exellence & go Ballistic on South America! Keep it TOYO side down BJ...yes thats TOYO....the 2009 SCORE championship tire.
I knew somethin was up with the lack of details I got from him last night...meant he had somethin he couldn't say.
I'm guessing the reason this was not suppose to be leaked out until today and the reason this 11th hour announcement is being made is BJ is under contract with General Tire. General Tire is like Toyo is to RGM. Its a big part of BJ's program and GT's marketing. I'm sure GT needed to have a few things cleared before they could or would allow him to race a Toyo backed RGM Dakar effort. I would guess you will hear very little about Toyo Tires on the Vanguard Hummer.
Look at the PR location, Fort Mills. SC this is Continentals/General Tires headquarters. The original PR is actually a General Tire PR Notice how they do not mention Toyo, yet they mention Monster, Hummer, Vangard and Chile. And at the end of the original PR is says For media information, visit www.ctnamedia.com. That is Continental.
Here is a picture of BJ with the Vangard Hummer, I assume in Chili.
Kinda hard to be a support truck when your ahead of the truck your supporting....just sayin
Not like theres been a lot of runs to talk about, but BJ does have the best finish in that Vanguard rig...
his posts are from his phone, which just might mean his ass is sitting in an airport "playing" with us. Classic BJ! Today was an overcast, grey and boring Monday, at least it woke me up and gave me a good laugh!!
