STAGE 3: La Rioja > Fiambala

Connection 259km | Special Stage 182km | Connection 0km | Total 441km

Course Overview

It'll be on the third real day of racing that the competitors will have to deal with a first test. The change of context will be radical: with a switch from earth to sand and especially a dune portion of close to 30 kilometres. Other than their dimension that suits perfectly a first part of rally, these dunes are noticeable thanks to their white colour. In this new landscape, the crews will enjoy off-piste. They will also have to adapt to a change of climate and especially sand storms that are frequent in the area.

I found that Pic Brian ..You can see the mud being kicked up fom his tires. he must of rolled over like the other two on that stage 2. maybe the same turn too.
Yeah, I noticed the mud too! Great photo but to bad it happend to BJ
that looks like quite a nasty drop off!
With only 73 cars through CP2 BJ should be 71st or better to start stage 4
Per Chat source BJ also broke a tranny so 326 and 351 had drivetrain issues
BJ sure likes breaking transmissions...lol
yes it is !

Here is the article from Ramses on what happened today with all three Hummers.
Wow Carlo - Clutch, BJ Tranny Case, Robby Nav, Inflators and stuck...
all things considering, RG is VERY lucky to only be 1hr down overall.
I am thinking barely 20 cars finish this Rally...and hopefully 3 of those are Hummers.
Yeah, this stage was brutal. I wonder how many will withdrawal tomorrow.
