From Dakar.com

After starting 11th this morning, US driver Robby Gordon (Hummer) finished the day’s special stage in 1h40’21, a time that gives him his third special stage victory on the Dakar as he finishes one tiny little second ahead of Stéphane Peterhansel.

13P6 CHECKING PROCEDURE
"If a crew has two GPSs working and only one of the two GPSs validates the passage of a
waypoint no penalty will be given."
how about the chile hummer????
The Chile Hummer, #326, was disqualified for being towed and missing checkpoints in stage 3. Sucks for Carlo and all his fans in Chile.
Correction He was DQ'd for missing waypoints not for being towed. It is OK to be towed by another competitor. The 528 towed him and the 528 is racing.
Recognition on NASCAR.com too:

So when does the "pending validation of the race marshalls" become "official" for this stage win?
Congratulations Robby!!! keep the spirit.
Yesssss!!!!! After such a trying day yesterday the team really pulled this one off.

I was so nervous reading through all of this afternoon's posts where Robby couldn't be found, then viola` there he is. Winning.
WHOO HOOO
It's cool to see NASCAR paying attention to Robby's Dakar adventure.
Just another reason I'm a Proud Robby Gordon Fan!!!
What great news to come home from work too! Way to go RGM! The cherry on top would be the Canadain junior team beating the Americans tonight for their 6th consecutive gold in the World Junior Hockey tourney!!! Go Canada Go!! It is going to be a helluva hockey game.
