I agree. He ran so strong when he was driving for Roush, way back when. They don't mind rubbin' a fender every now and then, either
At least he will be racing in 2010, if only partial schedule.
Yup, it's that easy.
I am with you on that. I was referring more to the fact that its not " i wont be racing at all " type of announcements, etc.
Robby has said he would rather run a part time than be a start and park.
I for one would love to see Robby run all of the 36 races. Let have faith in him. Lets see how DAKAR goes first. Maybe some sponsor's are waiting to see how he does in the DAKAR? just my tought.
I'm sure we'll see what happens in the coming weeks, once Dakar is over.
new year new crew chief what next? back to chevy ford or dodge.
Good luck Doug it was fun....
How about Andy on the box and bring some RGM Off Road Monster energy.
Na We need a veteran yes man I guess.
RGM will have no problem finding a solid crew chief...Larry Carter, James Ince and others are without employment right now. I hate to see Doug go, he brought alot of positive energy. As a fan, I loved having a crew chief like him stay positive and calm during difficult situations.

Daytona is only 38 days away.......
Larry is in for consideration for CC for Kevin Conway.

Could be worse TOG, could be talkin Jeremy Springer :P
I know the word "Partial Schedule" has been used and brought up. But my thought is RGM cant really afford not to start and race the full season. A large value of what is RGM is the fact that they hold top 35 owners points. Without the top 35 RGM's stock becomes a lot less in the sponsor market and in the ownership of the team. Do you think Robby could sell RGM for what it is worth, even in this economy if he does not hold that golden ticket call the top 35 rule? I would think that RGM could be only worth 50 to 60 cents on the dollar without holding a guarantee his cars would start a race. I would think without a top 35 lock in RGM is not worth anymore then what the other non top 35 teams are worth. The only other thing that would make RGM more of a value is the building, as Robby owns his property. But then again in this market, you might be able to get a building or rent for much cheaper then what RGM would want to sell the building for.
Whats all this talk about Dakar I've been hearing......
