We got to see a rare treat on the video taken from inside T4 truck 528. For a brief second they showed the ERTF Rallye Raid GPS Screen. The screen has quite a bit of info. I have attached a screen cap and a quick breakdown of the information shown. There is a lot of "masked" data since the course book should be what guides the competitor, but it will "activate" when within a predetermined distance. This is how Robby knew they missed a waypoint on stage 3 and had to go backwards on course to pick it up. The data is stored in the GPS and then downloaded and checked at the end of the stage. For further reading I have attached the manual to the GPS unit. Good stuff.

Interesting. Thanks.
Are you related to SOG or COG?? Just wondering. Perhaps Tacos Over Ground?
SCHWEET GAS
This is why bike guys like Andy and Kellon make good navigators. Imagine trying to keep an eye on the ERTF, route scroll, etc. and the road at speed on a motorcycle without stuffing it.
Pretty neat.Five hours back now, need to work on the next half to stay in the top 10.Go Robby, and try not to throw Andy under the bus during interviews.
I never realized the was so much stuff on the handlebars of the bikes as I saw in the behind the scenes video. That's a lot of stuff to watch besides the route.
Thank you
