Daytona - Setting the pace for Robby and his team for the whole Cup season.

Daytona - Pretty much has always Set the outlook and the pace for Robby and his team for the whole Cup season.

Last season. Robby was up front,out of trouble and looking for a top 5 top 10 finnish.

That would have started his season off to a great start. They would have carried the momentum forward to the next race.

But...Sadly though. Two idiots played there childish game up front and when it took a turn for the worse they destroyed several cars including Robby's #7 Jim Beam Toyota.

Example...The #48 car crashed in that race with Robby and went to the bottom in points but was able to fight back to the top 10 race after race. Robby's team floated around the upper20s and 30s in the points and pretty much settled around there for the 09 season.

It's only when a road course comes up that you see Team Robby Gordon flex there muscles and stick there chests out. Robby qualifies great and works his way to the front and leads. Now Robby starts to hold his breath and car,pitcrew and track Gods to let him have it!

I really do hope that Robby has a great Daytona race and leave with a smile on him and his team!!

Let this be the year that bighead predicts. When he wins the 500 and gets into the chase we can skew your stats Cow. I just got my annual recoating of rose color for my glasses and the season looks promising. We all know that anything can happen at Daytona. Why can't it be our turn for a change?

Point made... and to further your case, Harvick's 500 win in '07 was his last, sure didn't propel him to greatness. And we know the only trophies in POS's case are his 500 wins, sure wouldn't count him among the legends of the sport.

All I know is, the last plate race RG ran in, he had a very fast car.

From my TV side view from the recliner on Sunday's Seems to me that RG would have a minimum top 15 finish every week if is weren't for the idiots who wreck him every week.
