Please go to NASCAR.com and go to the 2nd tab in grey called "Drivers", then click Sprint Cup.  Notice what driver isn't there.  But its not just that, ToyotaRacing.com doesn't show or portray Robby Gordon or his car.  What kind of disrespect is this?  Funny how Toyota when they come to the track they have their Hauler with the Jim Beam Toyota still displayed.  But both NASCAR and Toyota will throw Michael Waltrip's image and persona around...at least Robby was guaranteed a spot in the 500!    I wish I could speak to the Advertising and sales director for RGM, because either he needs to file forms quicker, or this is just outright disrespect from organizations who should know better.  If you are appalled like myself, I encourage you to complain.  I already put in a e-mail complaint to Turner, which runs the NASCAR.com website.

David is a kiss ass and has been bought by NASCAR and by its major sponsors.
It has less to do with Robby and more to do with the 'hard card' holders like Caraviello - writers that contribute to websites that are part of the official 'NASCAR Citizen Journalists Media Corps'. Their collective 'journalism' is greatly influenced by whatever spin Ramsey Posten wants promoted. Don't buy it? Ask Mike Mulhern or Claire B Lang. Hear anything lately from the NASCAR mainstream press about the Mayfield case?
So if results bring media, why does Sam Hornish have die-cast, uniforms, merchandise, and has a driver card on Nascar.com?
I think you're hitting the nail on the head. NAPCAR is a business. You'll notice all those drivers have their "fangear" at the bottom of their pages. First, Robby doesn't use Chase as a supplier of hats, shirts, etc., Robby doesn't use Action for his diecast production and for that matter, doesn't have diecasts at all. Correct me if I'm wrong he doesn't even use Motorsports Authentics either. There is nothing they can sell via Robby, if he did have all of that stuff, his name would probably be on there.

I'm personally cool with it. I like the underdog, single car, almost outlaw image he has in NASCAR. That's one of the main reasons I pull for him week in and week out (it surely isn't for all the wins) and have an entire closet full of RGM gear via ebay. Let them have their favorites, our day is coming!
Sam drives for Roger.
might as well throw in the RC factor that you like to throw in every chance you can get just to top it off
I am appalled that Toyota is even in Nascar. Nascar is a true american sport with it's roots firmly established. Whats next, peugot? I was born 7 years after WWII and maybe I am showing my age but we were hauling moonshine and racing souped up old cars while we were at war with Japan. Now after all these years after they invaded our country there deeply sorry for decietfulness about their cars. Go the hell home and have rickshaw races. As far as disrespecting Robby, I am even more appalled however it's been awhile since Robby has been in the top 5.
Yep. Exactly right. Global Economy. It's here to stay, learn to deal with it.
I recently read that TOYOTA sells more cars actually manufactured in the United States than GM does.
Notice that there are only 30 drivers with driver cards on the card tab of that page. Robby and everyone else is listed in the drivers table tab of that page.

Also remember that in previous years when Robby did have a card there, Jim Beam would advertise extensively on the NASCAR.com site. I suspect that influenced it quite a bit.
Maybe they just need an updated photo of Robby in his 2010 uniform. Has one been sent to them, TOG? All the drivers used to show up with cards, I think even the part-timers. Should the title of this thread be changed since Robby is in fact on the ToyotaRacing.com site. I can see why he is not as heavily promoted by Toyota since probably more people link Robby with his Trophy Truck and his Hummer than with his NASCAR Toyota.
@ Karen Hooker: the pics are taken @ media day in Daytona. Thats why all season, you'll see RG sporting the Monster colors, no matter who his sponsor for the race is.
