Be interesting to see how this event fairs with all of the other world events going on. Last year was the 3rd or 4th year, I forget. Sometimes these thing peak and then wain. We'll see.

yup.I was thinking the same thing. Instead of keeping it simple, they might add more bells and whistles that might make the event jump the shark. Regardless, its all for a good cause and its still racing.

Hey! Chemicals are cheap. So why don't they change the rules and let the Manufacturers do the soaking :>).

It's as much or more an environmental issue than cost. All the rubber and chemical will end up in watershed or wells.
