Freedom of speech!

If you can't take the heat get your ass out of the kitchen. Rob is doing this gig on half of the money as the mega teams. For anyone who thinks RGM has a chance in hell to compete week after week in this equipment needs to have their head examined. There'll be weeks we, s RG fans can celebrate, but most of the time, he's gonna run in the back. It's not rocket science. Money=Fast. RGM gets half the money, he'll finish around the top half of the field. It's Reality!
now if RG would only realize to drive backwards on the track like i do on NASCAR 08 on my Playstation, and crash half the feild, it would get interesting...

OK on to something realistic,

just crash the 48 car and on to the next race
Rating 2010 so far - Towards end of 2009, RGM lost major sponsor. Considering the economy, Robby told his team that if they could find a more secure position with another team they should take it. Doug, who really looked promising as a crew chief, moved to another team. So RGM enters the off season with no crew chief. RGM, despite the ridiculously bad economy, has been working to get sponsorship which has opened up opportunities and created alliances. All while competing against a core group of teams that face none of these hurdles. So our main complaint is that we had too much fun following Robby's off road racing including winning the Score championship and battling for stage wins in the Dakar with a real shot at winning the rally? To me, hanging on to the top 35 is huge.
Other teams have to work for sponsorship as well you know...there have been many teams that have folded due to lack of sponsorship including the 01, 8, 26, 96 and more. All of the non-chase teams are fighting for sponsors and if your performance isn't up to par sooner or later you're gonna be on the outside looking in. Just the way things are in this economy.

In hindsight it was really bad luck that RGM lost out to MWR for factory support with Toyota when they first came into the series, I feel it really would've solidified the team for years to come and perhaps expanding to more cars.
Actually I think the Yates' walking away from that all but signed contract was a watershed moment on what RGM "could be" versus what it is right now....
Beagle7,
I can't help but agree with you. If he had gotten into that Yates/Rousch deal he would have been better of IMHO but we will never know. And you guys that are saying that cubic dollars are all that matters are right on the money. The #7 has made some of his bad luck though. Maybe he has finally learned. I hope so. Despite all of it I admire him in many ways.

Best of luck Rob,
BRR
