I wonder what folks think about  ole Horseface going two-faced again and dumping Brad's top 5 run.  He may have needed someone to show him what this stuff is all about, sure. My thought though is that if any number of drivers, ours included, had done the same thing 100+ laps down, he'd be sitting out Bristol.  What Carl did at 190+mph endangered not only Brad, but also the fans.  I thought it was a bit uncalled for.  Just curious what others think. SUSPEND CARL!

I see a cash fine coming and 100 points ..Carl did not use good judgement in turning Brad. I think the opportunity of Brad's top 5 run was too good of a chance for payback, and Carl did not weigh the consequences and in so broke the “Police them selves Code” Nascar will make an example probably not Carl Long huge but something that makes us all say ouch...-100 the 99 would be around 30th -200 around 40th in owner points
It was a shame to see this crash cause the race up front was getting really good. Further more it was a relief to see specialK shaken but not stirred. My wife was tearing up.
Carl was 100+ laps down, with a tore up race car. He spent multiple laps trying to catch and wreck the 12. He put the driver's life and hundreds of spectator's lives at risk to fulfill an unwarrented need for revenge at the wrong track.

How that isn't an unprecidented punishmnet is beyond me. He should be banned from at least one cup race and fined 200 driver & owner points.

Drivers cannot self-police that kind of crap.
I bet Carl doesn't have many friends left in the garage after this stunt. Hopefully Nascar deals with him appropriately.
Quite the opposite.
I think you're wrong about this. Rattling somebody's cage, as the old master put it, is one thing, turning somebody around on a fast track is another matter. Cousin Carl didn't try to get him out of shape, he went for the hook. He has a real temper problem. Remember the pseudo punch of Kenseth? I doubt of people will talk but, no body will like this.

I think suspension is called for.
NASCAR painted themselves in a corner. They said "have at it boys". They're not going to suspend a top 10 driver or team. To do so makes them look even more foolish.

Carl has many friends in the garage this morning who publicly won't say anything but, (wink, wink) behind the closed doors are slapping him on the back.
lost in all of this is, Brad has brought alot on himself. He reminds me of Ernie Irvan in his first year of Nascar.
Yep... And Ernie was taught his lesson too. Old school.

Matt Crafton is another one that would be wise to back it down a notch before somebody puts him into the wall the wrong way.
that would have been the perfect scenario..long lazy spin.....anybody else get a flashback to Bobby Allison in 1987 at Talladega when looking at the replay the first time?
Exactly. This has been done a million times before and people don't go on screaming for suspensions, fines, etc. I've heard a few people screaming attempted murder. And it's all because of the oddity of the car getting airborne.

It sure as hell didn't hurt Ricky Rudds popularity or standing in the garage when he turned Jeff Gordon at 180+ at Charlotte back when it was one of the fastest tracks on the circuit.

The ONLY reason this is being blown out of proportion by some people is because it ended up looking like a single car restrictor plate wreck.

The only thing Carl Edwards deserved for this is the Dale Earnhardt Legacy award.
Where was all the indignation when Robby violently wrecked young Logano last year?
Robby,Joey , kyle, Jimmie, etc, will all wreck somebody on purpose at some point or another in the future, and they will also be wrecked on purpose at some point too...Every driver has, Every driver will.
