Qualifying 3:00 - 4:30 pm/et ( Rained Out - Starts 38th )

SATURDAY , MARCH 27th

Practice 10:30 - 11:15 am/et ( 38th Quickest )
Practice 11:50 am - 12:50 pm/et ( 36th Quickest )

MONDAY , MARCH 29th

GOODYS 500 12:00 pm/et , green flag at 12:13 pm/et ( Finished 34th )

Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

Just a reminder ( Robby haters please ignore ) :

RG has NEVER qualified with the go or go homers at the end of a qualifying session. When he had to get in on time in 2005/2006, alot of go or go homers were at the mercy of the qualifying draw,and Robby often drew an early number, whereas others drew later numbers. This will no doubt make it a little less of a pressure situation for RG.

Yikes,

Looks like rain during practice Friday but it should be clear for quals. Hope we get something to go our way like being fast off the truck for once here. Especially here we need the track time in practice.

Yes, if qualifying is rained out Robby would start in the 36th position based on owners points.

is the merch hauler going to be at m'ville this year....wasn't there last spring. :(

oh, and there was a #7 hauler at vegas last month, but it was a nationwide #7. wonder who that is?
