Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

Where are the Robby hatters, now?
There is a lot of time left in practice...
yes there is. However, 1 tenth of a sec in either direction is around 10 spots. So, others still can easily gain. Bottomline is, RG has a decent racecar, & a fantastic Q draw
LOL..Agent MOO !
Robby will go out 45th in qualifying.
great i gotta 1:00pm doctors appt. so wont miss out
I talked to RG last night at Midnight. (guy never sleeps) They just pulled the CUP car out of the booth. Over the last week they built a whole new car tested it at Charlotte and it will be at Martinsville today. This car is purpose built for qualifying. It is so light they added almost 400lbs of tungsten just to get it to weight. It's a bullet.
the key is where they put the Tunsten.
great to hear...but not overdriving these corners at martinsville is HUGE!

Im confident...but I'll be a nervous mess inside until we're locked in...
Fugging jinxer
After an hour & ten minutes:

Mears is slowest of the Go or Go Homers

Then Papis, McDowell, & Bliss.

Robby sits with 4 slower and 6 faster, but a fraction of a second can change the outcome.

Cook, Stremme, Sauter, Blaney, Almirola, & Nemecheck are faster by a tenth
RG hasnt made his final runs yet. 1 or 2 tenths vaults you at this place.
