Did I tell you GENE NEAD was the man or what?

Great team effort by RGM, surely it wasn't one person. But for all those who thought I was crazy, please send all cards to Garrett John Gleason Old Forge PA.

Lol. Anyway, wasn't able to join y'all in the chat today, but I actually TEARED up when I heard Gene Nead was calling the shots today, so could someone explain to me how enemies became friends and RG and he got back together?

Btw, as we all know, I am Gene's biggest fan and would like someone at RGM to get me an autograph of the big guy and send it to me for all the schemes I did.

Gene = top 20. I love that man. I miss hearing "Nice and smooth bud." What a great day today is!

I want to join the Gene Nead fan club. Make it happen Garrett. Lol.

It would be great if Gene came back and Robby would let him make the calls. I think they would have some great results if that happened. Both of them are talented and can be a solid team together.

just trying to remember correctly though, wasn't gene hated by people after his first stint as cc because he sucked and stole other peoples setups or something and then went on and was working ambrose or mwr or something? just trying to remember since that was 12 cc's ago it seems like, lol!

i thought it was funny though in the chat last night where somebody said that if a reporter went to interview robby's box, then they would need three microphones for all his cc's to answer that was atop of the box last night.

gene did a good job though last night, maybe having him, larry and stanley with their heads together is the way to go!

"Frankie" Kerr was the guy who gets setups from friends and associates in the garage area. Yes, he is currently at MWR working as the crew chief for the JTG #47.

Gene had fans and enemies on this board. Personally, I think the guy can set up a car but just his and Robby's personalities clash too much. Perhaps they can suck it up and work together, but 07' at Indy was painful to listen to on the radio.

At this point, if its only temporary, I hope they hold it together until Sonoma. RGM and Gene have some unfinished business at that track from 07'.

We know one of the voices on the scanner last night was Gene, then there is the spotters but if Larry wasn't on the box, who was the third voice and I don't mean Robby or Beth at the end?

BTW, Congrats to the team... And Robby for holding it together and just not overdriving.

If Robby is a smart man, and I certainly saw when I was at the shop that he is brilliant, he will do whatever it takes to keep people like Gene Nead and Larry Carter around the team as much as possible. Gene's a champion and Larry has won races, so having their input does wonders. Sure Gene has his own thing going on, but throw some bills at him to be a race strategist and keep Larry on consulting and RGM is going to surprise a lot of people. I know Miles is the listed CC so lets not be afraid of giving him his due, I'm sure he had a lot to do with the success this weekend.
