Thought I would drop you guys a little note and tell everyone what a great job Robby did last night, we started the weekend with the same setup that I had used in the fall race w/ MW, we had to make a few changes to it because it seemed as though the tires were a little different this year. We ended up getting the car pretty good in second practice and felt like we should have qualified in the top 15. Robby did overdrive the car a little on the second lap but that was because we sort of messed up and gave him his first lap time in the middle of the second lap, he did not think it was good enough and over did it in 3 & 4. Started the race and the car was pretty good and very good on a long run, we made very small adjustments all night. The pit crew needs a little work, but overall did a good job. It was a pretty fun night all in all.

Hey Gene, saw that your with the #5 truck team. Are you helping RGM until the trucks start back in May?
I told Robby I would go to Texas, that is as far going forward as we have talked about. I will admit I had a good time with the team this past weekend.
sounds great.
Now that hes on the planet it definitely is time for the fan club. As everyone knows I am the biggest Gene Nead nut around here, and its great to have you aboard on PR and helping out RGM.

Thank you Gene, you may just save our season.
Garrett,You've stuck to your guns for years and last night paid in spades.I'm happy you are right!
Mike
Don't mention me, thank everyone at RGM who realized who the best crew chief we ever had was an gave him a call back. Cant argue with results. I remember all those top 15-20 runs that many here forgot.
Good to hear! The longer, the better.
Dug from my archives, are 3 parts of the 2007 Dover race ( Gene Nead's second with RGM , and a top 10 finish ) . Gives some insight to the communication RG & Gene had years ago....Nice & Smooth.

wow that race brings back memories tog......that race was rain delayed til monday....but it was definately worth the wait for that. Was one of the best finishes i've ever seen rob have in person. To me that showed how much gene knows about setups....correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure p.j. practiced the car for rob while he was running the baja 500....rob shows up gets in the car and drives to the front....
Great job Sat. Appreciate the post here too. Thanks Gene!

BTW, think you could send Garrett an autograph? He is a huge fan of yours Gene.
Great Job Gene, Thank you for taking the time to post on here!
