plus RG pulled in a cool $107,000 today
Ya know with as good as they ran at Phoenix and they stated it translated over to Indy, Richmond is another flat type track, hopefully they unloaded decent there as well.
top 20s are a good day for this team, lead lap finishes, if they can have a string of 5 of these, he would be in the top 30 which is huge, Richmond will be the test, can this team run well in back to back weeks, Texas was a flop, hopefully Richmond can turn the luck.
all in all it was a good run for robby/rgm today, but it just didn't seem like he had a car that could move up at the end of the race just like at daytona. the car had no damage to it as i could see but he just didn't move up. it was awesome when he pulled up and led the race early in the beginning. at the end though. it just seemed like he was a 20th place car. did robby complain at the end or say anything about the car? even though it was not a planned strategy to run in the back, speeding penalty, no wave around and then fighting for the ld, it worked out and without the car getting damaged.

also, how did robby speed leaving pit road. it looked like a great stop, but with all the cars coming out I would have thought that he would have followed them out with no room to really speed being behind a lot of cars. I guess that wasn't the case though.

lastly, the FOX coverage was awful today!!!! Sooooooooo many damn commercials especially at the end. I'm sure that Kevin was dying to get out of the car while waiting on FOX to come back on the air!
Car was fine at the end. He had his momentuem stopped at the end racing the #43. Cant recover with only a 2 lap run to do it. Thats plate racing.

Speeding on pitroad happens. Every driver gets busted from time to time. Not like he did it to piss folks off.
good racing, Robby. Good to get a couple of lead laps. Getting better!
OK reality check...20th was a gift today. In this case the car was better than the finish, all things considered. If you are going to hang in the back, don't hang with the likes of Max Papis, etc. who can't run without being a pack. Stick with these guys and all of a sudden you're 30 sec. off the pace. Hang with guys who have a hope in hell of getting to the front. Also, don't speed off pit road on the last stop. What's the one track where gaining one spot off pit road means jack s$%%...Talladega (more so than even Daytona). That just possibly killed a much better finish. The wrecks at the end were the only saving grace to salvaging a decent day.

Rant over...Front Row for the most part got killed today and RG is in the top 35 in owner's points, so it turned out for the best.

Sorry, I've got big ol' jet lag after our trip to Vegas, so I'm a little cranky.
Bad trip to the bunny ranch ? lol
I agree,20th was a gift .Without the crashes we are a 27th place car.Car ran well, crew needs to fine Robby for the speeding violation.LOL
Or , without the speeding penalty, he could have easily been a crashed car.
I agree, Got lucky. Why speed on pit row when you are laying back anyhow. He has to keep up not relay on cautions to catch him up. He had the car.
Didn't you hear ? He sped just to piss people off. lol

I think the mentality was stay with the cars around him leaving the pits, and he didnt want to lose being connected with them.It happens.
