“We’re going to do everything we can [to race],” Gordon said Friday
at Dover International Speedway. “If I was to miss races, they would be
the weakest races [to get sponsorship] NASCAR has. Our goal is to race,
and that’s what I desire to do. We’re going to continue to do that until
it becomes financially not possible to do that.”

Gordon wouldn’t pinpoint a specific race where he might have to stay home. He said he would not start-and-park.

“We’re still trying to sell races,” Gordon said. “We’re going to run until we can’t run. That’s the best answer I can give.”

Gordon does have commitments for some off-road events. During the race at Pocono in June, Gordon will miss track activity Friday and Saturday so he can run the Baja 500. Michael Waltrip will
practice and qualify the car for him, Gordon said.

true dat, they have been getting way bettter.
Michael Waltrip is the 7 car..wtf
just think if he sticks the #7 on the pole....lol
This can benefit Robby. But it gets me wondering what does Mikey see that could benefit MWR?
Are nuptials forthcoming?
Great news. mikey will bring exposure. even if its only for practice.
he should just let Mikey run the car on Sunday for Pocono, that track sucks and should only have 1 date. Waltrip is a marketing man and really has done a good job as an owner so far. Too bad RGM did not mrege with MWR or Red Bull since those were 2 new Toyota Teams that could have helped RGM out a lot, but maybe this is leading to something for next year. I still think he should at least be a start and park if he does not have a sponsor, 34 pts is better than nothing and if he can nail the road courses, that would keep him in the top 35.
ya who is to say what MW likes in a car to get it handling will work for RG on sunday......but who knows we will find out soon enough
Its not really about the points. If you don't attempt all the races, you go to the bottom of the list no matter how many points you have.
Robby is obviously doing everything he can to keep this team moving forward and the #7 in the top 35 in points. Bringing in experience (with crew chiefs and drivers) can't hurt in any way. Besides money, knowledge is very important in stock car racing. We are talking lap times that are less than 1 second off teams with millions and millions of dollars.

I hate how everyone on here complains every week when little things go wrong. Just be happy he has attempted (and made) all of the races this year. Without BAM imagine where we would be. At least we have a reason to watch the horrible racing going on in NASCAR right now. Chill out and enjoy it...because who knows how long it will last...
Probably too early for these questions
At Pocono
Will this be a RGM designed / built car?Or a MWR car?Or a collaboration?
What motor manufacturer?
Its an RGM car Mikey is just getting it tuned up for Robby since he will be in Mexico.
the only reason i watch NASCAR is because of Robby.

NASCAR is nowhere near what it used to be.
