“We’re going to do everything we can [to race],” Gordon said Friday
at Dover International Speedway. “If I was to miss races, they would be
the weakest races [to get sponsorship] NASCAR has. Our goal is to race,
and that’s what I desire to do. We’re going to continue to do that until
it becomes financially not possible to do that.”

Gordon wouldn’t pinpoint a specific race where he might have to stay home. He said he would not start-and-park.

“We’re still trying to sell races,” Gordon said. “We’re going to run until we can’t run. That’s the best answer I can give.”

Gordon does have commitments for some off-road events. During the race at Pocono in June, Gordon will miss track activity Friday and Saturday so he can run the Baja 500. Michael Waltrip will
practice and qualify the car for him, Gordon said.

peeps - you know I don't know shit, but lets just think about it for a minute. That POS deal happened 5 years ago...that's like 35 years to us dogs. I suggest we move on. RG thinks enough about MW to let him Q his car...that's good enough for me. And I wouldn't read anything more into this one-time deal. Rob will find sponsors...he always does.

And how about this for a how do you do? Maybe RG likes the juice of being an owner now more than the juice he gets from winning? Think about it...the last time he won in Cup was 2003. But he's an owner everyday..and don't think there isn't big-time juice in running your own team. Just sayin'....
It's like rain on your wedding day

It's a free ride when you've already paid

It's the good advice that you just didn't take

Who would've thought ... it figures
Ironic, but the best case scenario.
Is this really true or just something to be funny? It would be cool if it was, MWR is putting out some good equipment now although would this mean Robby would no longer run those Triad Engines that have been good so far?

The Penske deal might would be better but I just don't see that happening. MWR has room for a 4th team and Robby already has a good shop, Toyotas and equipment to work with.
its racing. Anything and everything newsworthy can have a 1,000 different rumors attached.

In Dover this weekend,Brian Vickers had everything from drug addiction to AIDS.
That's awesome man.

Drugs? Crazy!

Teh_HIV? *crickets*
I'll go with blood clots....that is some serious shit.
I'm far to aware of that my friend. And I do hope you realize I wasn't being dismissive of the seriousness of the situation.
Makes sense. Doesn't make it true (and I know you said it was a rumor) but it does make sense. It's the same thing RG thought he had worked out with GEM.
As long as we're starting rumors, how about:

Mikey thinks he maybe able to get a little Danica if a had another #7 to dangle in front of her.
In the May 2010 issue of Nascar Illustrated, On my mind with Michael Waltrip, Michael talks about Retribution. "The Robby Gordon deal at New Hampshire in 2005, when he threw his helmet at my car, is probably the most well known example of me going after somebody. We had history----most of it bad. I felt he had done me wrong on the track too many times and was just sick of it. And I like Robby-------a lot. I love the way he goes about things, the way he handles his business, his attitude. It was not personal."
Danica has a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG way to go before she even thinks about stepping foot in a cup car. Also, Vendors at the track are sitting on a slew of Danica merchandise that nobody is buying. Saw a sign at one of the vendors that said something like " 50% off all Wonderwoman merchandise "
