Sorry Bob,missed the wink.
Robby Gordon goes out 4th in qualifying.
ok practice is almost over TOG, what did they do to the car?
When the car was loaded up in the hauler they were still outside the top 35. So when the car was unloaded at Michigan, they had to pull all the Q trim stuff off, and convert to race-trim setups.( there is a difference between outside top 35 Q trim vs inside top 35 Q trim ) RG's first few runs were just to make sure nothing was hitting & the car was driving ok in racetrim. Then they switched it back over to inside top 35 Q trim , taped it, put 4 fresh tires on, and he layed down the lap. Good to go.They had a plan in place since finding out at the VIR test.By the way, next weeks Speed Factory episode should show this.
Oh, really early.. think there will be a qualifying? Good pick up in practice at the end. Hope there will be a chance to get more practice laps this weekend so the team can get some work in. But, considering that it has been raining cats and dogs here in Minnesota the last couple of days I can only imagine it will end up in Michigan.
If qualifying is rained out or cancelled
the teams making the race would be:
#26, Owner won a race in 2009 [Roush Daytona][37th in owners points/14 race attempts)
#09, Owner won a race in 2009 [Finch Talladega][41st in owners points/14 race attempts)
#21 Past Champion - 1988 Elliott [45th, 4]
#38, 36th in 2010 Owners pts, 14 attempts
#36, 38th, 14
#13, 39th, 14
#87, 40th, 14
#46, 42nd, 14
missing the race would be:
#55, 43rd, 14
#66, 44th, 14
#64, 47th, 5
If you don't like Ohio/Mich weather, stick around a few minutes. The forecast is changing again. This afternoon is still hit or miss as for qualifying but chances are better for an opening once the current cells go through. Tomorrow will be hit or miss but Sunday afternoon now looking better.
Boy oh boy its nice to be in the 20's during practice and not the 40's. GENE!!!!
for shizzle on that
Ok I'm calling it RG will qualify 15th and finish the same. He's due folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill you must have bumped your head on something, he goes out 4th and will end up 32nd...He will however finish between 14 and 17....
yes I smaked my noggin but, she's hot and muggy in Brooklyn and all that "rubba" on the track will make it slick as the car continue to go out. Going early might be ok today
