The Car was top 20 that first pit call. .it cost Robby what 30 or 40 points today.. geesh..

Tog, Mears scanner replay was interesting. He and the spotter said Speed came down hard on him. Never a word on parking him, just coming in and fixing the toe. Once they got it jacked up on pit road, they found a broken spindle and tie rod and had to go to the garage to fix. Sounds like nobody in the pit was paying attention to the length of time the 6 had been in and didn't warn Mears.

Robby started out like a house on fire then had a miscue on pit road. Couldn't see what happened. Went down hill after that. I had a hard time tracking them on the scanner because of radio interference.

Best looking livery of the year IMO. (Robby and a black car = win) I wish they could find a way to make the proper adjustments and keep up with the track.

Oh, and another premature ending for the EXTENZE car. (Should have used a relief valve ;) )

car had blocked his entrance in, so he just went back around. RG took the blame for that.

So the last set of tires went tight? The car was really good on long runs all day. They actually had fairly decent pitstops too (picked up some positions on pitroad). Really was hard to watch him lose all those spots at the end of the race. I thought the paint scheme looked great, that stripe on the hood is very easy to spot. On to Infineon.

car went ugly tight on the last run. If we could hit the rewind button, I would say they should have stayed out on the last caution, since the car was the best it was all race long.

yes, the last three runs:

3rd to last: bad tires.. Gene says I think I know whats wrong
2nd to last: good tires.. 1 round back (not sure where, but undid the earlier round adjstment and a can and 1/4 can of fuel. Gene was adamant about that. Car was turning fast laps again. Robby states best been all day, and Gene says "I know whats wrong with our cars"..
last stop: Bad tires again Gene told them to put 1 gallon in the car (that is a pretty specifiv 6.7lb weight add). Lost speed, car went bad again.


So. do we know what Gene found? was it a weight balance issue? Can they move the tungsten around to compensate? Perhaps the tungsten is shifting causing the Jekle Hyde cars from Happy hour to race day..
