32) #34-Conway/Front Row: 1112, +117
33) #37-Gilliland/Front Row: 1109, +114
34) #71-Labonte/TRG: 1109, +114
35) #7-Gordon/RGM: 1060, 65 points ahead of 36th
these teams/ drivers must qualify by speed:
36) #38-Kvapil/Front Row: 995, 65 points out of the top 35
37) #26-Stremme/Latitude43: 982, -78

RGM can move UP:

RGM can move up to 34th by beating the 71 by 17 positions

RGM can move up to 33rd by beating the 71 and 37 by 17 positions

RGM can move up to 32nd by beating the 71 and 37 by 17, and the 34 by 19 positions

RGM can fall out of the Top 35

38 beats RGM by 22 positions, or the 26 beats RGM by 27 positions and RGM fails to beat the cars ahead of him to gain positions.

*Boris Said will likely drive the 26 car. If Boris finished in the Top 10 and RGM finished 37th or worse RGM could be outside the Top 35.

Other Notes:

Not many teams will "Start & Park" this weekend.

The 09 team will have Jan Magnussen and plans to compete.

RGM will field a 2nd entry 07 car with PJ Jones

Gilliland will be good next week.
I'm thinking another round of musical chairs at FRM. Kvapil only has two starts at Sonoma, qualifying 39th and 41st. FRM will probably put Kvapil in the #37 and Gilliland in the #38.
Thats what I am hearing
Fun Facts: The last time Monster was on the car at Sonoma and Gene Nead was the CC, the car lead the most laps and got a top 20 finish and would have easily won if they had the fuel Mileage.

PJ Jones Fun Fact: PJ is the only driver to make the show in a RGM entry other than Robby. (2 for 2) Just in case we see PJ on the Entry List
It was fuel.......???
Not true. David Gilliland got the car into the show at Richmond last year while Robby was racing Primm and drove to 24th place finish. You of all people should know that Alex. BTW, David is 1 for 3 trying to get a RGM entry in. (missed at Kansas in 2009 and at Daytona in 2010) Furthermore, Brian Ickler made the race in a RGM Nationwide entry in 2008 at Phoenix finishing 34th. Also, one could say that Marcos Ambrose would have attempted to qualify for Watkins Glen in a second RGM car in 2007 if qualifying hadn't been rained out. That said, I'm excited at the potential for a second RGM entry at Sonoma.
David didn't have to get the car in the show. It was locked in.
locked and loaded.
and David did well that race from what I remember
Shame that Robby and David Gilliland have to fight so much with each other in the points situation, being friends and all.
If dg had not had the babysitting chore of that speedster Conway, and even missing two races to buy a ride,he would be in 32nd in points.
David has won in both west and SW series races at Sears Point (hate the name Infineon)plus asecond place in cup two years ago.He will also be in the 45 for the west race sat.And will be in the 38 sunday.Knew he would pay the price for the penalty. After all he is the third wheel with FRM.
Only hope the best for Robby and David this weekend, they can both use it.
all is fair in love and war
Who doesn't love love?
