Though its not very detailed it is one of interest. RGM is famously known as "One of the last single car teams in Nascar." But on a few occasions RGM has shown up to the track with 2 cars. The first attempt in 2005 didnt pan out when there was hope to have PJ Jones in a 2nd car but it fell through, mainly due to the fact the 7 was not locked in at the time. It would not be until Watkins Glenn 2007 that RGM gave another go at a 2nd entry, when Marcos Ambrose attempted to make the race in the #77 Camping World Ford. The car had a successful first practice looking like it would make the show but rain came and washed out Qual and the 77 did not make the show. It would then be another 2 years until a 2nd car came to the track, at Sonoma PJ Jones attempted to make the race in the #04 Menards/Jim Beam Toyota and he did so, starting 37 but parking it after just 1 lap due to "transmission failures" and finished 43rd. But that 1 lap marked the 1st time RGM ever had 2 cars make 1 nascar event. PJ then again made Watkins Glen that years starting 39th and finishing 41st after 11 laps. David Gilliland failed to make Kansas in the 04 that year being the 1st car to miss the show. Gilliland DNQ'd this years Daytona 500 in the #49 Toyota though it was owned by BAM it was a RGM built car. This weekends race marks just the 5th time RGM will send 2 cars to the track.
Drivers other than Robby's success rate at qualifying RGM cars:
PJ Jones 3-3
Marcos Ambrose 0-1
Ted Musgrave 0-1
David Gilliland 0-2
