Nascar.com is reporting that Robby has decided not to run next weekend at New Hampshire because of lack of sponsorship. Robby Gordon Motorsports will be running a car with P.J. Jones only. Is this true!
"We had Robby Gordon on our Trackside show Friday night and after talking to him, I felt really good about his chances. He has made some personnel changes within his team. He was able to get both his cars qualified for the Sonoma race. So I felt come Sunday he was going to have a great day. Getting a second-place finish Sunday was like winning a race for him. That was the good news. The bad news is Robby needs a sponsor, but without one he is going to be forced to do the old “start-and-park” thing until he can find one. He’s safely in the top 35 in points and with his talent it sure would be great if he could land a sponsor. I am a big Robby fan, so I hope he can get things worked out where he can continue to race because he’s a great race-car driver and I love his passion."
I just checked the entry list for Sunday's race on Nascar.com, and Robby is listed as the driver for the 7.
Is something up, or they just haven't updated the webpage?
How about Ted Christopher with Whelen Engineering as a package for NH? Teddy is a shoe and has driven a ton of laps up there. Sorry, just had to perpetuate the mid-week gossip.
TC is a bum. Even though most of the country knows him as one of the better Northeast drivers, he's not too well liked up here. If you get to watch the mod's run up there this weekend and Teddy gets punted, you will hear a lot of cheers!
