Well if people don't know the difference between in the draft and single car... then obviously they're new. And if you look back at the plate tracks the past few years Robby has never qualified better then 25th or so, with the exception of when he wasn't locked in.
I am not even talking about you Speedy. Ya, just about all cars did get some draft. But it is where you get the draft, usually cars in the back of a big pack can get a good draft which would cause a good lap. I am not denying Robby doesnt have a fast car, it's just not a fast car by itself. Like how Garrett explained.
They are in race trim as well, but some of them give up some downforce to work on some drag and will be able to go a bit quicker during qualifying than RG who is 100% focused on downforce and handling. RG has a fast piece, and like TOG said, TOP 30 run for sure, but no pole shot.
Remember the old days when you could look at the spoiler angle and figure if they were in race or qual trim? I miss those days when crews could adjust on the cars,
My guess is that RG's race strategy will be the same as he used over the years. Do an early run to the front to see how the car handles and who he can push, then drop to the back pack of 5 to 10 cars and run with them until the last pit stop / caution. After that it is wreckers or checkers. Let's hope we see him come through the final wreck's smoke in a top 5 like he did a few years ago with the Beam car.
Pretty Decent pit selection

Just gotta pray kenseth crashes out so we have an even easier entrance :P
You should really get a job as a crew chief, you seem to have much better ideas than Gene Nead.
Junior wins. Nascar can finally retire the 3.
Good win for Jr., He must have had a ton of emotions. I think what sometimes gets missed in all of this is that he did lose his father.
It was a good win for JR , and it was so nice to see the # 3 in victory lane again .
and got $hit on by the wicked stepmother.
He's not one of my favorites, but It seems right. I agree good for him.
