2010 Chicagoland 400 Race Info & Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2010 Chicagoland 400 cup race.Robby Gordon will drive the #7 Mapei/Menards Toyota.This weekend's schedule is somewhat different,as all practice & qualifying will be held in one day,and the race the following evening.Here is schedule for RGM at the Illinois track.

FRIDAY , JULY 9th

Practice           12:30pm - 2:00 pm/et   ( 42nd Quickest )
Practice 2          3:15pm - 4:00 pm/et   ( 30th Quickest )

Practice Live Leaderboard

FRIDAY , JULY 9th

Qualifying           6:00pm - 8:00 pm/et   ( Starting 38th )

SATURDAY , JULY 10th

Raceday           7:00 pm/et , greenflag at 7:46 pm/et ( TV - TNT )

Wow. A lot of practice laps. I'm glad to see them taking advantage of the track time, and also glad it must be relatively decent since they aren't going back to the garage for major adjustments.

38 laps in already? That's more than he does at a Bristol practice? Car must be pretty good in race trip. Always room for impovement though.

his current long run he set his fastest lap in practice , and even after 10 laps was still at 172 ( all in racetrim ) . Car must be really driving good for RG. Next session , lets see what he gets in Q trim.

Shocker! Still a bit off on average time to the faster guys... I would imagine that Chicago normally has long runs?

Jeff Gordon is 2nd quickest and has a 172 avg.

Good Point. Still over 2 tenths behind in time, but this has to be a good sign as you said earlier. Hopefully those changes they have been talking about on the Intermediate Tracks have made a difference!
