8th fastest. great lap robby! Picked up over a second. Wow
That was a hot lap. Glad we got to see it on t.v. Came right down on the apron across the finish line
3 tenths off the top speed, 1 tenth off a top 5. His qualifying draw is pretty bad though & nothing he can do about that , so if he starts top 25, that will be good.
Hopefully they don't get too crazy with adjustments. That lap has really slid down in just an hour so the difference between now and night racing will probably be pretty dramatic. I think we'll be ok wherever we start.
Ganassi has it dialed in. J-Mac and JPM in the 29's.
"Go Getter" qualifying should be good. Blaney, Kvapil, and Yeley separated by a tenth.
I am looking forward to that session.
says on jayski we had the 13th fastest 10 lap average during happy hour. I'm feeling pretty good about this race. I'll predict a 16th place finish.
Pleased with the # of laps run, just goes to show how important sponsorship is for all those that perhaps can't the truth behind having to S&P. I recall Robby being on TV for some behind the scenes stuff when he was with Childress or no maybe it was in his first year or so solo. Anyway he was sitting at the Blackjack table explaining to a lady that his bet was "one tire", and she said something like a set? He said no "one tire". Hundreds. I think it was Beam because I think I recall him saying you have to drink the sponsor and raised his glass. Vegas
he ran all those laps because the car was doing what he wanted it to do. Car drives the way he wants = more laps run.
Practice seems to show that they didn't find the magic bullet after Michigan. But, tomorrow's race will either confirm it or show that they have something for the Immediate Tracks.
