Is it possible to buy a robby gordon diecast car through his RGM store and have it autographed. The only track I'm close to is watkins glen and I dont know if i'll ever get there with the way my job is.
Back in the day, there was an option when a diecast was bought on the website to have it autographed, it cost a few bucks more but was worth it, at least to me. I haven't seen that for some years now, maybe TOG could suggest having that option put back in place for diecast that are bought online.
That would be good, i dont think a fan should ever have to pay for an autograph, I think it shows arrogance on a driver/sports figures part. I'm actually on a pit crew for a car in the DIRTcar series in the north east and everyone from bottom to top is very down to earth. its not to big a deal about paying though I have before but Ive also wondered how do you knwo who is really signing it? ???. Also have a dumb question for you, who is TOG?
I know we've charged a nominal fee for autographed items when purchased online. Never for anything done at the track though. The fans are what pay for the trucks, and the least we can do is take time to sign an autograph if requested.
You might call or email the store and ask. Haven't tried this with RG stuff, but I know other drivers who will do it. We bought a Richard Petty print at a stand way off track in Daytona a few years back. Sent it to Petty Motorsports back when there really was such a place. Richard signed it and we had it back within two weeks!
It did? You must not have ever tried to contact RGM before! LOL
All drivers used to be automatic about signing things through the mail, but I haven't tried it since I was a kid. Back in the day, I got Dale Sr., DW, Petty, both Allisons, Kulwicki, Martin, Gant and many others through the mail.
Robby is great about signing. He is great with all fans even if you arent wearing his stuff, he'll sign anything. I am sure if you send it, it will get to him and he will sign it. You'll have to send a PAID SELF ADDRESSED way to get it back to you though. Call Robby Gordon Motorsports directly to find out. Also, yes, anything that goes to his website or mail to RGM is rarely responded too. His people at the shop arent nearly as fan friendly/efficient as Robby is. Also, when he comes to the Glen, check this site or his site for where he is signing. Robby often signs at places outside of the track during race weekends. With it being a Road Course I am sure Monster will be the Sponsor and he'll be signing at a Grocery store, minimart, sports bar, or something similar. Good Luck!!!
